Welcome To Madison Small Pups
Madison Small Pups is dedicated to rescuing and caring for small toy breed dogs (20 pounds and under) who are from shelters, puppy mills, found as strays, or are no longer wanted by their owners.
We are committed to finding the best home possible for each of our small dogs and are very selective when it comes to fosters and adoptees. We will only place pets in loving, safe environments that are screened and approved by our staff.
All dogs are spayed or neutered, given vaccinations, heartworm tested, and started on flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to adoption.
Our main office is in Madison, Alabama. However, we have foster homes throughout the state. We consider local adoptions only (we do not ship pets).
We invite you to explore our website and visit us on Facebook. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please let us know.
Please Help Support The Small Pups In Need
MSP relies on donations of time and money from people just like you.
We are always in need of funds to help care for our rescued babies.
Please consider making a donation today to help us save as many
dogs as possible.
How To Adopt
We get many inquiries asking that we call or contact a potential adopter about an available pet. Because we are volunteers with jobs, families, personal dogs and foster dogs, we cannot call you or arrange a meeting until you have submitted an application.
The application does not obligate you in any way whatsoever; it gives the foster parent something to go on in determining whether we (and you) need to go any further in the adoption process. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Read more
How To Foster
To apply to become a foster parent you must submit an Application to Foster and be approved by MSP. That application is very similar to our adoption application, and we will need to process it in the same way we do for an adoption.
It will require reference checks and a home visit to see where any dog you fostered for us would be living. If you are not located near Madison, never fear. We have a network of rescue contacts and can usually get a volunteer to visit with you within a week or two. Read more
