Linus

Linus had a bad start to his life but it has totally turned around! A senior man bred his female Maltese that had 5 puppies. He obtained homes for 3 of them. The last two, a female & male, that remained were being eaten alive by a flea infestation. The female succumbed to the blood loss/anemia and died. After that, he called us to save the last puppy. A foster raced to get the puppy to our vet. An examination could not even be done until a flea bath was given. The fleas were crawling in his eyes, ears, and covered his fur which had a pinkish tone from the numerous bites/blood. Linus is now a healthy 3 pounds because his foster feeds him watered down wet food, rubbed coconut oil on his sores, and nursed him thru his darkest days.

Linus is a male Maltese mix and has had 2 vaccines, a bordetella, and two wormings. He is ready for a loving home without small children or dogs over 12 pounds because he is afraid of them. This boy is loving, laid back, snuggly, and very tiny! Linus has an adoption fee of $300 and must be adopted locally to complete his vetting until neutered. He has fought hard to have a long beautiful life that he so deserves! If you are interested in Linus, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICATION below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.

  • Lizzy

Lizzie is a gorgeous female Pomeranian with a beautiful full sable coat. She is around 6 years old and weighs 12 pounds. She is over weight and needs to lose a few pounds so we are hoping she gets a family that likes to take long walks and is disciplined enough to not feed table scraps! Lizzie is playful, sweet, and fine with other small dogs although she really just cares about her people. This little girl has had a dental, wormed, spayed, tested negative for heart worms, vaccinated, groomed, and started on preventives.

Lizzie is in rescue because her human passed away and nobody in the family would care for her, this happens often. Lizzie was terrified when she came into rescue. She was almost shut down; tail tucked, scared bulging eyes, coward in the corners, panted and paced for 2 days, would not eat. As terrified as she was, she NEVER showed any signs of aggression toward the other dogs or people. In just one week, she has come a LONG way. She is now eating, tail is up over her back, she sleeps with her crate open, comes up for belly rubs and ear scratches, lays on the couch with her foster people, and LOVES to play with squeaky toys

Pomeranians need a consistant grooming routine and brushing to stay beautiful. Lizzie would be a great loyal only dog, needs a fenced yard to roam in, and would REALLY like a person home all day with her due to her separation anxiety. Lizzie has an adoption fee of $190 and is ready for a forever home that is patient with her. If you are interested in Lizzie, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICAIONN below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.

  • Lucinda

FENCED YARD REQUIRED. Lucinda is a female 3 year old salt and pepper colored Schnauzer that weighs approximately 15 pounds. Lu’s family was not in a position to care for her any longer but wanted the very best for her future. The family told us she likes to run free when she gets outside to play so she must have a fenced yard for her safety. She has been leash trained, is good with other small dogs, and has a loving personality. Lu is like any other terrier, she will bark loudly at the door but settles down after a bit.

She was infested with fleas so she was given a cap star pill, flea meds, and wormer immediately! Lucinda is now SPAYED, given a DENTAL, vaccinations, microchipped, and she tested negative for heartworm disease. Schnauzer lovers--- this female is a precious baby and is ready for a new life with a family that can provide for her needs. Lucinda has an adoption fee of $300 and is ready for applications!. If you are interested in Lucinda, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICATION below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.

  • Lucky

Talk about personality plus...this 3 year old female 8 pound Yorkiepoo is precious. Lucky is her name and she got lucky the day a MSP foster pulled her from a loud/over crowded shelter! Her coat is kinda wavy/curly, non shedding and super soft. She is now spayed, tested negative for heartworms, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, started on flea/heartworm meds, and groomed. She is frisky like a terrier and smart like a Poodle but loves to snuggle during down time. Lucky has good house manners, is fine with other small dogs, and needs a fence because she has gotten lost once already... trying to say hello to all the neighborhood! Terriers do love to run.

Lucky girl is great on the leash and loves her walks with her human. We would recommend a harness because it is easy to slip out of a collar. Lucky has a adoption fee of $225 and is ready for a furever family to call her own. If you are interested in Lucky, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICATION below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.
